Drinking and Jolly run

Hi daddy,

Today is the 3rd day after my surgery. I can runabout and it feels good. However, mommy won't take me out for a walk. Apparently, I am grounded for 2 weeks. Sigh!

Love and sloppy kisses,
AL-E

It is so nice to see you running around boy. Are you going to the main door to wait for me? I will still be here for another 2 months, then I will be with you ok. And your E. collar will be out soon enough, then you can go walk and play outside.

Hi Sarah & Nilesh,
I am glad to hear that Al E is doing so well after the surgery. Raja also had a similar surgery when he was about 8 months old. About the E-Collar, to make things easier, if you are watching him and are near by, you can actually take it off. Especially when he is eating and drinking, it will make it so much easier for you Sarah and also for Al E. Since the main reason for the E-Collar is so that your little boy does not leak and get his stitches out, if you are close to him and watching him then that may give him some freedom from the E-Collar. When Raja had the surgery, we put on the E-Collar only when we stepped away from him and not able to keep an eye. Of course, if it is a big hassle to put it on and off, then I suggest leave it on. Hope this helps. I will call you some time to talk more about my experience with Raja and some of the experiences I had that may help with Al E. Take care and a big hug to Al E boy!
